TEMPE, Ariz – Calling on all interested Age Group Men's Players!

We're pleased to announce that the Player Expression of Interest Applications for Age Group Men's Players looking to attend the 2024 Touch Rugby World Cup is now open, please follow this link to apply.

Players who wish to be considered for selection in Team USA for the 2024 Touch Rugby World Cup that will be held in Nottingham, England in July 2024, should complete this application to register their interest, nominate their preferred position, and confirm eligibility for the tournament. Please note the Expression of Interest (EOI) applications cut off date is Wednesday April 5th, 2023.

The selection pools for Mens Open, Mixed Open and all Women's teams have already been identified as part of our existing High Performance program. Women that were not identified as part of the High Performance Program that wish to be considered for age group women's or mixed teams, if spots become available, should reach out to Adrian Witte directly at adrian@usatouch.org.

The Touch World Cup will be hosted in England at the University of Nottingham’s Highfields Sports Complex between July 15th and 21st, 2024. Selected players will need to be available for a camp the week before World Cup (two week commitment).

We forecast an estimated cost of $5,000 per player, which includes:

  • Flight

  • Accommodation

  • Transportation

  • Kit

  • Tournament registration fees

  • Administration support (e.g. medical support staff)

Note - at present, we don't have the final cost from FIT, the estimate above is based on the costs for the last World Cup and is subject to change.

The USA age group, mixed open and women's open selection camp (information packet) will be held at the Austin Huns RFC in Austin, Texas from May 5-7, 2023 (players are expected to arrive Thursday evening - May 4th - and train all day Friday, Saturday and half-day Sunday).

We're excited to kick-off our 2024 World Cup campaign. For any further information, please contact: Tim O'Hara, Master's Program Lead at tohara@usatouch.org.
